The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as "partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential." This is an equal partnership between the coach and client, each bringing their expertise to the table: the client is the expet on their life and the coach is the expert in the process of facilitating change. The process is client driven based on their stated desired outcome. Coaching is not about solving problems, it is about empowering people.
As a certified coach, I offer coaching across many different niches such as Life Coaching, Leadership Coaching, Health and Wellness Coaching, Relationship Coaching, Career Coaching, Life Coaching for Students, Spiritual Coaching with a Biblical Framework, Team Coaching for Student-Athletes and Life Coaching for Patients.
I offer Pre-Engagement/Pre-Marriage/Marriage/Parenting/Step-family Development Consulting for couples using the Prepare/Enrich Assessment and lead couples through a variety of relationship skill building exercises in the accompaning workbook. This can be done over the course of 4 to 8 sessions. This assessment helps commited couples gain a deeper understanding of dynamics, personality, stress, strength and growth areas. The Parenting version expands their understanding of parenting styles and dynamics while strengthening their own communication. Please see www.prepare-enrich.com for more info about the assessment.
I am certified to facilitate the following relationship development courses by Dr. John Van Epp. Course descriptions are from www.lovethinks.com:
PICK: Premarital Interpersonal Choices & Knowledge/How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk(ette). This course applies the Relationship Attachment Model to singles' romantic relationships with emphasizing healthy relationship development (each level should not exceed the previous level in developing relationships) and five crucial areas to accurately KNOW a partner (family background, maturity of conscience, patterns from other relationships, compatibility potential and relationship skills).
LINKS: Lasting Intimacy through Nurturing Knowledge & Skills. This course applies the Relationship Attachment Model to couples' relationships with emphasizing that the balance of the RAM connections will naturally fluctuate. The key is that couples regularly balance their imbalances by strengthening and setting goals with each of the five dynamics of the RAM in weekly "huddles."
Home Run Dads: Dads Knocking It Out of the Park. Do you want to build a stronger connection with your kids, but aren't sure how? Home Run Dads teaches you, using the Relationship Attachment Model, how to manage your relationship with your children and takes the guesswork out of how to build respect, teamwork, loyalty, and appreciation between you and your kids. All of these lessons are taught in a way that speaks to men -through sports- where dads ae the coaches and their kids are on their team. Five sessions: Team Talks, Team Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Team Commitment, and Team Spirit. This course can also be taught as Home Run Parents.
Our Home Runs: Families Stepping Up to the Plate.
